Connective Tissue Massage is a dynamic approach to bodywork that releases myofascial restrictions. It is the most effective massage method available, relieving chronic tension, producing greater ease and efficiency of movement, improving posture and increasing body awareness. The course was pioneered by John Latz whose innovative style of teaching body mechanics enables students to immediately connect with and manipulate fascia.
With proper body mechanics, manipulating fascia is effortless
Body Mechanics
The Connective Tissue Massage class instruction strongly emphasizes proper body mechanics for practitioners while they are working. The fundamentals of these body mechanics shift the practitioner's focus to the center core of his or her own body. Through this awareness they learn to find length and extension in every massage movement they do allowing for a connected, integrated movement with power, efficiency and ease while working.
Individual Instruction
Feeling fascia is a highly refined skill that can only be learned through by private hands-on instruction. Connective Tissue Massage students are taught to feel the fascial layer through a process of exploring and understanding the subtle energetic qualities of the tissue and how it responds to the touch. Each student practices and receives work in class, with ample hands-on input and verbal feedback from the instructor. The size of the classes is kept small, guaranteeing individual attention in learning. Upon completion of this class, students are immediately ready to do fascial massage with confidence.
